AI website readiness FAQ

What the free scanner can establish, what it cannot promise, and how your report is handled.

What does “AI agent ready” mean?

It means a website exposes clear public content and machine-readable signals, permits the intended automated access, and avoids obvious barriers to reliable interpretation or interaction. It does not mean every AI system will use the site.

Can this tell me whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another AI can access my site?

The scan tests selected public access signals and common crawler identities, but no single test can reproduce every product, user session, policy, or network path. Treat it as technical evidence, not a universal guarantee.

Does allowing an AI crawler mean allowing model training?

Not necessarily. Vendors may use different user agents and controls for search, user-requested retrieval, and training. Review each vendor’s current documentation before setting a policy.

Do I need an llms.txt file?

It is an optional, emerging convention. A clear, crawlable website with sound HTML, structured data, and an accurate sitemap remains more fundamental. The scanner reports llms.txt separately so it does not stand in for those basics.

Does the scan change my website?

No. It makes read-only requests to public URLs. It does not log in, publish content, submit forms, or install code on the scanned site.

Do I need an account?

No account is required. If email unlock is enabled, an address is used to deliver and manage that saved report. Marketing consent is separate.

How long is a report saved?

The current retention period is 30 days. The private management link sent by email can delete the report sooner.

Will fixing every item guarantee traffic or AI citations?

No. Technical readiness can remove barriers, but visibility also depends on useful original content, authority, demand, product fit, external policies, and how individual AI systems choose sources.
